More Ways to Invest in
East Madison Community Center

The East Madison Community Center hosts several events throughout the year to bring the community together and raise funds to support programming. Having the support of the business community is essential to our ability to host these events. We would appreciate it if you would consider the following sponsorship opportunities.

If your company or organization is interested in sponsoring any of these events please contact the Center at info@eastmadisoncc.org.

Bowl-A-Thon

The Annual EMCC Bowl-A-Thon event is held in November each year to raise funds for our Minority Achievement Program. The program provides its minority learning center 90 minutes each weekday and an hour on Saturday. The impact on the community has been tremendous. The average GPA of our students has risen to 3.4 and the high school graduation rate is 98%. Minority tutors primarily staff the program, some are our paid staff, and many are volunteers from the UW-Madison’s Masters Education Program as well as students from Madison and Edgewood College. In recent years we have seen many of our student attend and graduate from UW-Madison. This year was very special as we sent our first student away to Stanford University!

The Bowl-A-Thon is a fun event that supports this important work. Please consider one of the following ways to support.

Sponsorship

Have your company/organization sign up as a sponsor for the event.

Recruit An Event Team

Gather your co-workers and families to form a five-person team to enjoy a fun-filled afternoon supporting local youth. For a minimum of $50 in pledges per bowler, play three games, receive a 2022 Bowl-A-Thon t-shirt, rental shoes, and be entered to win great prizes.

Donate A Prize

Does your company produce an awesome product or service? If so, donate to the prize room where the teams/individuals that raise the most funds get to pick out a special gift

Volunteer Appreciation & Scholarship Recognition Dinner

Consider sponsoring our Volunteer Appreciation and Scholarship Recognition dinner. In June of each year we gather to recognize our top volunteers of the year and celebrate students that have received the EMCC’s Woody Carey Scholarship. The EMCC engages over 300 volunteers each year to provide thousands of hours of service to support our programs. The work we do simply would be impossible without the community’s volunteer support. This event serves as an opportunity to show our thanks to those that give of their time each year. In addition, we use the time to celebrate students that have received the center’s Woody Carey Scholarship. These students have exemplified academic prowess, community service, and the ambition to follow their dreams.
